Illinois is home to one of the most beautiful state parks in the Midwest.

Starved Rock winds ups the Illinois river and offers breathtaking views, waterfalls, and bald eagles.

The park provides adventure year-round. Winter hiking usually produces multiple bald eagle sightings as they hunt on the Illinois River.

Keep in mind the park gets crowded on the weekends. We recommend visiting during the week when you can have the trails practically to ourselves.
